Adulterated Education ๐Ÿ˜’

Education is the best thing that can happen to any body. Anyone with the right to education should feel very lucky since there are more than a score ofq a country who still lack behind in having a  proper education system in place for its people.

Education of the people is the building blocks of a nation’s future. The prosperity of a nation and its development solely depends on how the present and the future generation is educated.

But if I ask you. What is education? What would you say?

A process of learning in which it makes you better at something and everything. A process in which one is enlightened!

Isn’t it?

But do we actually achieve it?

I would shout NO !

Education to a human should be the complete development of an individual both at his skills and his morals. But what we are gaining is skills only. Where is the moral part?

In short the way the education is today, we are being trained to become skilled machines. So we are going to be a Robot or a Donkey when we grow up.(latter incase we fail to make it big).

Definitely having advanced skills and learning fast could get a work done most properly and at the earliest. Many discoveries could be made and many problems can be solved. Good. Yes, definitely good. But have we thought how much human is left within us in between all these discoveries?

You would say,  Who cares ?

Okay, how do we want to end our life? Retired at 65. Get a pension. May be go on a world tour or do things that you were not able to do in your working days. Be with your wife or your grand children. Telling them stories about the emergence of internet and how life was before it.

But before all of that happens,  if you get stripped of all of your money after retirement and a group of thugs kick you out of your own house to rot in the streets or anywhere, who cares?

You have served your country, made discoveries, made things easy for the future generation, lived your life. Now rot in streets till you say ‘Hi’ to the Death God.

If your wondering why this would happen and I may be exaggerating!

Then I am NOT.

Roll back your memory thirty years back when you laughed at the moral science book your child brought home from school. How you convinced him that Newton laws of physics had more relevance than the laws of meetings and greetings in this world.

The world is at the verge of Destruction. You would definitely laugh that off. But before any potential alien invasion, or a huge meteor strike or a couple of giant tsunamis and earth quake we would die for forgetting to be human at first than everything else.

Our moral values and our ability to reason it right is what makes us human.

.

Forgetting it and wearing a Being Human T-shirt won’t make anything better (except adding to the bank account of Salman Khan) . .๐Ÿ™„

In the wake of the disaster happened to an old mother in Kolkata, India where she was robbed of all her savings and kicked out of her own house by thugs hired by her own son. Our future looks bleak.
Give it a thought. Think about the solution. Tell me if am wrong. ๐Ÿค”

5 people I met on the last day at college (Farewell Party)

“To meet someone on the first day at college has been and will always be very happy and impressing until the time comes to bid them farewell”

To spend a span of your life together always gets very emotional at the end. From waking up every morning to each other faces to talking ย sex ,cartoons, music and movies to sleep gets so close that meeting our parents in semester break feels like visiting relatives. :p

The bond grows so well and it feels like a family, a world ๐Ÿ™‚ There for one another at times and bitching about one another at other times is what it all comprises of. Like every world has its judgement day, this does too ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

So hence we arrive at our farewell party and meet these people :p

1. The Sentiments Overflow

IMG-20160112-WA207

These are the type of peoples who were a bully on the first day at college but you will find them crying on the last day. Generally soft at heart and very friendly. These type of peoples will make you feel that you are dying tomorrow and they have already started crying for you.

Spoiler alert :ย Ye tumhare festive mood ki maa ki aankh kar sakte hain !

2.ย The Selfie Guy

PicsArt_1452931351785

This day he is omnipresent. He is everywhere utilising the full potential of his front camera and faking a smile in every photo. He finds pretty girls to click and has the most diversity of photo collection. He is there in every selfies clicked and so you know whom to blame if you don’t seem to remember anything from college days other than HIS face when you reach your wheelchair in your seventies :/

3. The Pretty Faces

IMG_2131.JPG

These are peoples who weren’t just any other faces in the normal college days. Dressing as simply as possible and never showing off their beauty. But this evening these beings have that face any one would die for. Though i and every other guys have fought with each other many a times over these faces but unluckily these pretty girls go out of this college being SINGLE . This day they would look brighter than CFL, tubelights and other things. Ohh god !

Spoiler Alert :ย Don’t gaze too close, they are brighter than light bulbs, you might loose your vision :/

4. The Dancing Troops

PicMonkey Collage.jpg

They lived for this day it seems. These people are always ready to shake their legs to any music irrespective of the genre. The one and only objective to host a farewell party and to wear make ups and good dresses to it is to click pictures of them dancing. Friend or a foe, junior or a senior, faculty or housekeeping doesn’t matter, the only thing that matters is “Where’s the party tonight?”

“On the dance floor! “

5. The “could have been”๐Ÿ˜œ and “always have been” ย Couplesย ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

PicMonkey Collage1.jpg

So this has to be the most interesting point to write about. Some were couples from the day they sat with each other and some spent their college lives watching and fantasizing their could have been love stories. The couples took with them their love story and the other might took just a picture home. Whatever may be, they remain great acquaintances.ย ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

The only thing that bothers me is that these stories are now fresh in our mind, someday it will not. Someday this would be lying lost in the internet and a new story would be on our mind.ย ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

It was the batch of 2012-2016 Bsc Agriculture in Dehradun. I miss you guys ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Badly !

5 Reason why you must spend your college life in Dehradun (collegiate version)

College life is one’s “Jee le apni zindagi” life as for the first time you become an adult minus the burdens. For the first time you seem to find the right match of person. For the first time you seem to fall in love ( yes the past couple of time you felt so t’was just mere infatuation ) . :p First time long bike rides, romantic gate aways, adventures trekking, exotic parties that continue till sunrise takes place and finally you seem to LIVE life like you had been dead for the last two decades.
Yes I might sound a little exaggerated but mind you being a collegiate in this small old valley has its perks. ๐Ÿ˜€

1. WEATHER

Not much is needed to write about the weather here. It has to be one of the very few places in India where weather remains so pleasant all through out the year that I would not blame my fellow college mates if they happen to fall in love frequently. Coming from central India where summer is more like a oven than a weather, dehradun gives you the perfect blend of sub temperate chills with a pinch of warmth.
The story is same all throughout the year and every morning no matter how late u slept the last night you wake up rejuvenated. ๐Ÿ˜€

2. SCENIC BEAUTY

The gate to the exotic terrains of North India is this little valley. Surrounded by small hills on every sides and watched over by the exotic queen of the hills – mussorie, this place is a gem. Dehradun looks like a sparkling place of magic when sunset. The roads carved out of the hills just gives you an immensely beautiful look of the place. Places like the Sahastradhara – (located at one of the hills surrounding dehradun) serves a gateway for couples from college. The deer park, the Buddhist clement town , the Roberts cave adds to the tourist attraction. And of course the historical Forest Research Institute ,located in the heart of dehradun has its own charm. The vast area of maintained and trimmed grass land surrounded by exotic trees collected all over from North India makes it a perfect place for photo shoot. Since the vast land the couples flock into it and it has also been the attraction for different bollywood films. This valley no matter how small and old it looks, with the himalayas to look and the clouds to play with, this serves as a perfect location to start your college life.

3. ADVENTURE

Are you thrilled with heights? And have you dreamt of riding the hills with your bike? If so then this place would be the perfect start to that dream. Loaded with hills everywhere and roads that cut around it provides you the proper roads to scratch your wheels. Trekking in the untouched tracks of mussorie and dhanaulti can be a life time experience for you. Other exotic place for adventure like shimla, manali, nainital are just hours away from this valley. The place for extreme adventure sport like paragliding, bungy jumping is in rishikesh which is just an one and half hour journey from here. The himalayan adventure school is situated in mussorie which provides you with details of adventures so if you’re crazy about hills and riding them then dehradun is the perfect place to pursue your college life. It’s because they say it’s never better to try your hobbies than the time your in college.

4. COLLEGES HUB

Other than the exotic sights and weather in dehradun, it has recently grown into a hub to pursue different careers. Dehradun in recent years has flourished with many colleges and some of them even got featured in the top colleges list in India. Education has always been a strength of dehradun, with Doon school being it’s pride for decades. The number of college that has flourished now has given the students an opportunity to pursue their dream career.

5. FUN MATTER

May be it looks like the most invalid point to write about, but I believe environment increases the degrees of fun you do and I couldn’t miss the fun that the students here actually experience. Dehradun is the gate to north india where every place you visit is exotic and just a few kilometers away. It’s a life time experience. Nothing increases the friendship more than being with them in the adverse times. A ride with them creates that connection and fun is unlimited. Guranteed. Other than exotic rides other means of fun are also available. Loaded with many fun parks and extreme adventure sports, this doon valley provides you the type of fun which most of the other Indian cities can’t provide. A life in Dehradun and to be exact a college life in Dehradun will never deprive you of fun and good memories . ๐Ÿ˜€

Being a hosteler aged Nine ! (Part One- Pre hostel )

In class four, one would barely know how the world works or why the people do what they do, running, carrying bags, travelling in cars and buses and then sit in offices and scribble on papers. etc etc.

For me ,barely coming out of the fact that “you cannot run around your houses with your toy car riding the walls” and go to school everyday was definitely a bitter-minded grueling task to deal with. But when the time came to get accustomed to what fun actually school was, i was put to the trash! Hostel ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

At first appearing for different entrances exams for different schools across the state was my way to make my mother happy. She wasn’t happy with the homeworks and assignment the school provided me with or I was too intelligent to finish them at just a fillip is still unknown, that she made me prepare for various entrances exams of schools across the state. I prepared and appeared, cracked some , failed some (for which she would scold the hell out) but never bothered, as it made her very happy and proud ๐Ÿ™‚

Wait, did i know how to bother?? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I was in class three back then. :/

Well , t’wasย the end of class three and my mother thought to make my life harder and thus raised the level of school for which i competed every year. That’s when she told that i was preparing for a number of prestigious school in another state from where my father belonged.

Fatefully I cracked all of them and they decided to put me in one of them named “Ramkrishna Vivekananda Missionary School” . It was a day-boarding with hostel facility and I didn’t understand any of those two words then :p

One day at lunch, she said you know this fellow and that fellow are directors of this and that company, and they earn a lot, eat a lot, have big houses and pretty spouses and are passed out of the same school of whose entrance you cracked. Since i was the lucky one to have cracked the admission test, she was going to get me schooled there. I was sad but pretty excited as well. Sad for leaving the school i started loving recently and excited about the fact that i got to travel across to a new state and make new friends and then pass out to have what those directors had.

The night before Iย was supposed to leave for hostel, I slept with my mother like everyday, hands clinged to the strap of her sleeveless blouse, one leg up her thigh and another hand on her belly. Oh i feared separation, and ghosts too. I slept that way for years.Holding her blouse felt secured and safe. She squeezed me within her arms like some days when i fetched good grades in exams and she’s too happy and loving but that day she squeezed me a little more. It felt special ๐Ÿ™‚

The next day she took me in a six hours of journey to reach my father’s place and next day from there to the hostel. That night i had awesome foods with inspiring and emotional talks from my father about how he stayed in hostel and how lovely it was ๐Ÿ˜€
I was infinitely excited and finally the morning came when the car came to fetch me up and my belongings. I was about to leave when i saw my father shed tears secretly. I couldnt seem to understand why. Little did i know about the future. :/

That was hell of a gloomy journey. All the way i was thinking about the times i used to spend around running around the house with toys, watch fishes swim in a countryside pond, riding my bicycle to the riverside, play cricket with my friends in the neighborhood, enjoy tales from grandparents and sleeping clinged to mummy. I was going to miss it all. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Was the dream of being directors and have pretty spouses and foods worth it?? :/

After an hour long ride, we entered a compound just adjacent to the main road having very high walls and a huge iron gate. It was guarded by a beast looking man having a weird moustache. ย He asked “new admission” ??

My father said “yes”.

He opened the long iron gates which had “Ramkrishna Vivekananda Missionary School” written on it…

I turned to my mom and said in a frightening voice ย “is this where you’re putting me” ?

She said nothing…
